READING AND USE OF ENGLISH (1hour 15 minutes): 7 parts, 52 questions. MARKS: 40% TOTAL.
PARTS: a) USE OF ENGLISH: Multiple choice cloze (8), open cloze (8), word formation (8), key word transformations (6) .
b) READING: Multiple choice (6), Gapped text (6), Multiple matching (10)
WRITING (1 hour 20 minutes): 2 parts. MARKS: 20% TOTAL
PARTS: 1. ESSAY: (140-190 words). You are given a title with two ideas. You must include both ideas in your essay and a third idea of your own.2. SITUATIONAL WRITING (140-190 words):You have to choose: ARTICLE, INFORMAL LETTER OR EMAIL, A FORMAL LETTER OR EMAIL, A REVIEW, AN ESSAY (ABOUT A SET TEXT) AND A STORY.
LISTENING (40 minutes): 4 parts, 30 questions. MARKS: 20% TOTAL
PARTS: 1. Multiple choice from eight short extracts.
2. Sentence completion from a monologue.
3. Multiple matching from five monologues.
4. Multiple choice from a conversation.

3. Collaborative task: Conversation with your partner, discuss about different options for a question (2 minutes), then you reach an agreement (1 minute).
4. Discussion with your partner guided by questions made by the examiner.(4 minutes)
